On this day 24 years ago, Snoop Doggy Dogg released “The Dogg Father”, his 2nd studio album & his final as Snoop Doggy Dogg & on Death Row Records before making the move to No Limit with New Orleans’ own Master P. The Dogg Father sold 479,000 units first week & debuted at #1 on the charts & has since gone Double Platinum.
