On This Day: “The Chronic 2001”

On this day 21 years ago, Dr. Dre released “The Chronic 2001”, his 2nd studio album. 2001 featured five singles, “Still D.R.E.” (written by Jay-Z), “Forgot About Dre” ft. Eminem, “The Next Episode” & “The Watcher”. The sequel to his 1992 debut, “The Chronic”, 2001 would go on to reach #2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 516, 000 units first week. As of 2015, “2001” has sold over 7,800,000 million units in the U.S. & is 6x Certified Platinum.
