On this day 17 years ago, Jay-Z released “The Black Album”, 8th & “final” studio album before retracting on his “retirement” & returning to hip-hop in 2006. With singles like “Change Clothes”, “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” & “99 Problems”, “The Black Album” sold 463,000 units first week & would reach #1 on the Billboard 200 chart & sold 3,516,000 units by 2013.
