On This Day: “Tha Carter II”

On this day 15 years ago, Lil Wayne released “Tha Carter II”, his 5th studio album. This album would be the one to usher Wayne into superstardom. Selling 240,000 units first week, “Tha Carter 2” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart & would later become certified Double Platinum. The album featured 3 singles; “Fireman”, “Hustler Musik” & “Shooter” ft. Robin Thicke. Wayne would show his artistic growth & lyrics ability throughout the album & for the foreseeable future, becoming the Weezy we all know & love today.
