On this day 19 years ago, Nas released “Stillmatic”, his 5th studio album. Stillmatic would sell 342,600 units first week, debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 & since then has become 2x certified platinum. The Album hosted 4 singles: “One Mic”, “Rule”, “The Flyest” ft AZ & “Got Ur Self A..” & the monsterous diss track “Ether” aimed at Jay-Z. Stillmatic would reestablish Nas as a top MC after the several instances during his beefs with rappers & the flop album the was “Nastradamus”.
