Rest In Peace to the late, great Pimp C, who passed away on this day 13 years ago. Pimp C was a great & influential rapper, but above all else he was a family man that took care of his business. Forming one half of UGK with his best friend Bun B in 1989, the duo would go on to release 5 albums during their tenure. UGK released many hit records together, solo & with the Rap Games top stars between then & 2007. In 2005, Pimp released “Sweet James Jones Stories”, his debut solo album & his 2nd album “Pimpalation” in 2006. In 2007, Pimp tragically passed away from an accidental lean overdose a the young age of 33. 13 years later, Bun B, Pimp C’s family, loved ones & fans have kept his legacy alive & well & remains influential in rap music posthumously.
