On this day 7 years ago, Childish Gambino released “Because The Internet”, his 2nd studio album. Debuting at #7 on the Billboard 200, “Because The Internet” sold 96,000 units first week the hit singles: “3005”, “Crawl”, “Sweatpants” & “Telegraph Ave.”. To help promote the release of the Album, Gambino released “Clapping for the Wrong Reasons”, a prequel story about a day in the life of The Boy in his mansion with his friends, adapted into a short film with an attached 72-page screenplay. Three years later in February 2016, the album would go certified gold.
