As Adidas looks to offload the Reekbok brand with a $2.4 Billion price tag, Master P & Baron Davis have recently been in talks to buy Reebok from its parent company. Speaking to Forbes, Master P said “As we focus on turning Reebok into a lifestyle brand not just a basketball brand, our most important initiative will be to put money back into the community that built this company.” Davis & Miller aim to give smaller footwear companies a chance to be distributed through Reebok & offer a platform for African Americans to own a piece of the “athletic footwear and apparel pie.” Due to the Pandemic, Reebok’s earnings report for 2020 revealed revenue has been down 42%. Adidas aims to finalized a deal by March with ANTA Sports or the VF Corp., the Chinese athletic company that sponsors Klay Thompson & the corporation that owns Vans, The North Face & Timberland respectively.
